12 pounds of marijuana washes ashore at North Carolina beach
ATLANTIC BEACH, N.C. — More than 12 pounds of marijuana has been found in a package washed up on a North Carolina beach.
WECT reported that the package was found earlier this week at Atlantic Beach and is believed to have been washed ashore due to Tropical Storm Ana.
The “suspicious” package was wrapped tightly in brown tape and found on the shoreline, according to the TV station.
It appears to have been in the water for a while as sea creatures were apparently attached to the package, according to an authority.
