BISBEE – Three Douglas brothers have been sentenced to prison on plea deals in a case that began last year when shipping centers in Bisbee and Sierra Vista notified the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) of suspicious packages being shipped out of state.
On Oct. 16, Nicholas Tyler Curry, age 25, received a 4.25-year sentence for transportation of marijuana for sale, while Cody Anthony Curry, age 22, was given a six-year sentence for possession of marijuana for sale. Dakota Lee Curry, age 21, was previously sentenced to four years in prison for possessing marijuana for sale.
A friend, Luis Angel Robles, age 22, was also sentenced last month to 4.25 years for transportation of marijuana for sale.
Money laundering charges were dismissed as part of Cody Curry’s plea deal, despite a pre-sentence report which noted his bank records listed that “$145,150 was deposited from locations in New York and North Carolina” between March 2016 to October 2016, even though “there were no documented wages for Cody Curry since 2014.”
