Methamphetamine in the amount of 113.39 grams, more than four times the amount considered for trafficking, was among the items seized Friday in Jonesville.
JONESVILLE — A Jonesville man is facing 12 drug-related charges and being held on a half-million-dollar bond following an incident in town Friday.
On Friday at about 6 a.m., officers with the Jonesville Police Department responded to a report of a possible impaired driver in the area of Oak Street near N.C. 67. According to a release from the police department, after locating the suspect vehicle, officers found the driver, Cameron Lee Horton, 29, to be slumped over. He appeared to be unconscious behind the wheel with his foot on the brake of the vehicle which was still in drive sitting on a steep grade in the lane of oncoming traffic.
Upon awaking, the driver released the vehicle’s brakes causing officers to have to bring the vehicle to a stop nearly striking a tree, according to the report.
