A man faces drug charges after police find marijuana and hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash.
The Kinston Department of Public Safety says they arrested Courie Whitfield on Thursday afternoon.
Officers say they seized 1/4 pounds of marijuana and $419,000 in cash from Whitfield.
KDPS says officers from the Gang and Narcotics Units worked with deputies from the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office on this arrest.
Whitfield is charged with possession of drug paraphenelia, possession and intent to sell marijuana, resisting a public officer and failure to maintain vehicle or dwelling.
Whitfield is out of jail; he posted his $21,500 bond.
