PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – A Raleigh man is behind bars on a hefty bond here in the east, accused of trafficking between 50 and 2,000 pounds of marijuana.
Pitt County sheriff’s deputies arrested Garrett Sharp, 25, of Raleigh, on charges of conspiring to traffic marijuana and opium or heroin.
Deputies say the crimes happened over the course of several months, dating back to November of last year. He was picked up in Pitt County on Monday.
Sharp is currently being held in the Pitt County Detention Center under a $1 million bond. He’s scheduled to go before a judge Thursday morning.
