Police say a man led them on a 10-mile chase from Kings Mountain to Gastonia while throwing drugs out of the car window.
Investigators with Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office arrested Caleb O’Brian Kendrick, 26, of South Trenton Street, Gastonia, about 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
Police say deputies watched as Kendrick sold cocaine to someone in the parking lot of Hardee’s, at 509 E. King St., Kings Mountain. Deputies say Kendrick spotted them and drove off, leading them on a high-speed chase down I-85.
Kendrick allegedly threw cocaine and marijuana out the car window during the chase.
He was arrested near the dead-end of Pryor Street, in Gastonia and charged with trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver cocaine, sell/deliver cocaine, maintain a vehicle/dwelling place for controlled substance, felony fleeing to elude arrest, reckless driving to endanger, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He is held on $105,000 bond in Cleveland County Jail.
