GEORGIA – Singer Aaron Carter is speaking out after being arrested with his girlfriend in Georgia over the weekend.
Carter said in a statement released on Twitter Sunday night he feels his “celebrity” was targeted when deputies arrested Saturday night. He also slammed brother Nick Carter’s response to the situation.

According to the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office, Carter’s vehicle was stopped along Georgia 385 near Carpenters Cove after reports of a car driving erratically. A passenger also inside the car was identified as Madison Parker, Carter’s girlfriend, according to TMZ.
Deputies said the couple was en route to North Carolina from Florida. Carter was scheduled to perform in Kansas City that night, tweeting hours before his show that he wouldn’t make it due to “transportation issues.”
