Suspects charged with crimes ranging from robbery to sexual assault will now stand trial following an Oct. 16 grand jury session in Wytheville.
Meeting in secret and hearing evidence from police officers and others, grand jurors handed down the following indictments:
Brandon Nicole Akers, 32, of Fries was indicted on charges of grand larceny and being a felon in possession of a gun.
Carlson W. Arnold, 36, of Ivanhoe was indicted on a welfare fraud charge.
Justin Daniel Ball, 22, of Wytheville was indicted on charges of identity theft, credit card number larceny and credit card fraud.
Sara Elizabeth Barnes, 24, of Wichita, Kansas, was indicted on a receiving or buying stolen goods charge.
Larry Ray Bomar, 25, of Rural Retreat was indicted on a drug possession charge.
Jerry Ray Bowman Jr., 27, of Rural Retreat was indicted on a felony eluding police charge.
Roger Lynn Boyer II, 36, of Bland was indicted on charge of being a felon
